The Duty Manager of the club, Lee Rothery said that the man was completely gob-smacked and he actually didn’t know what to say when they gave him the good news of his winnings. He won ₤10 118 on the national Bingo Game, a Regional prize of ₤1 091 and the house prize of ₤44. That evening the money up for grabs in the National Bingo Game coffers was actually ₤30 354 but two other players, one in Bristol and another in Edinburgh also called full house in forty five numbers so the prize money was split three ways.

The man has been a member of the Mecca Bingo club in Penel Orlieu since 1992, he is a regular player and plays three times a week. Although the winner himself was pretty speechless, and didn’t have much to say, the duty manager did add that they were always really delighted when one of their regular players wins a substantial amount of money. In this instance, I have to admit that I am really curious what the gentleman is going to be spending his prize money on.
