The BJ’s Bingo club in Chelsmley Wood, Birmingham, has just celebrated the success of its first National Bingo winner. The club management is absolutely delighted as they only opened their doors for business a very short four months ago.
The deputy manager of the club on Mackadown Road in Kitts Green, Nick Ralph, told the National Bingo that they had a really big crowd in on the night of the big win, eight hundred people! When they announced the winner, who is a very regular player at the club, and how much she had won, the entire club was cheering and clapping so hard that they nearly raised the roof.
The seventy four year old Brummie who is a pensioner won a huge ₤40,000 and little did she know that when she went to play bingo on Saturday, that she was going to come home with a bit of extra pocket money for Christmas.
The bingo club management is certain that this lucky lady is going to be the first of many more winners as they are convinced that the new club is going to be one of the really lucky ones.
It is a delightful moment for me when a pensioner wins big at bingo. It is just the thing that is needed to boost morale and supplement those thinly stretched pension money’s.
