A mother of seven who is a regular online bingo player at the Foxy Bingo site recently won one of their stunning weekend away prizes worth ₤500. The champagne weekend of pampering for two in London, was just what she need, but instead Sonia, aged forty-three, asked if Foxy Bingo would mind donating the value of the prize; that is ₤500, to the St. Mary’s Church in Rawmarsh to help them purchase a cinema screen. Her husband Steven is a churchwarden at St. Mary’s.
They have been Raising funds to purchase the cinema screen at the church and the fund was still ₤1 000 short of target. When Sonia won the bingo prize, she understood that prizes such as this are not normally transferable for cash, but when Foxy phoned her to tell her that they had arranged her weekend away with hotel accommodation, champage in the London Eye and a show, she thought, what the heck, let me be cheeky, and she was, she asked if Foxy Bingo would consider donating the money to the church.
Not surprisingly Foxy Bingo agreed and they even threw in another ₤500 so the church could meet the fundraising target and get their screen.
