Mecca Bingo has just pulled off a new coup with the signing of an agreement together with eQube International Inc. They are going to be contracted to provide electronic bingo devices in no fewer than twenty-one Mecca Bingo Clubs throughout the UK. The currently have test sites where they have been using Planet Bingo and Game Tech handheld units. But it appears that eQube has pipped these bidders to the goal posts.
For eQube, this represents a huge milestone and validates the efficiency of their handheld electronic bingo devices as Mecca Bingo is one of the largest UK bingo operators. They also have operations in the online bingo industry. eQube provides solutions for the bingo marketplace, and they have shown great innovation with the introduction of “CenTrax”, a central control and reporting software, as well as “eVent” a point of sale software.
The handheld units are called “Lil Gecko” and these allow the bingo player to enjoy an interactive experience when playing electronic bingo. eQube have been operating out of Canada since 1999 and have electronic bingo equipment installed in seventy-seven bingo halls throughout Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia. This coup represents the ability of eQube to penetration international markets as well as shows confidence from customers regarding the acceptance of handheld electronic bingo devices.
