We love playing bingo in the UK, this goes without saying, but so too, do the Finnish people, they are pretty much bingo crazy and who can blame them, there is probably very little to do when the eternal nights come around again.
With the growing number of online bingo players from Finland, the country is beginning to question various issues that have cropped up, the main ones being underage gambling and problem gambling.
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in Finland has put together a working group to address these worries and the outcome of the working group has decided that online bingo is not necessarily such a good thing for their countrymen, so they have recommended that the Lottery Act of the country be tightened up to combat any underage users playing online bingo.
It was also suggested that some kind of identification device is required for use in the case of online bingo (how one earth they will swing that one is anyone’s guess), also for the chop are evocative gambling adverts.
Apparently on a per capita basis, Finland has the fourth highest gambling expenditure in the world, not a difficult task really when you consider that Finns make up 35% of the word’s population living north of latitude 60ºN, all five million of them!
