Just one year ago, the digital channel ITV Play had the bingo series cancelled amid talk of scandal and dishonesty. Viewers and critics believed that the huge revenues created by this show were the result of improperly run phone-ins and quiz games. The viewers were being charged a large fee just for entering by phone. This negative view of the entire dedicated channel forced revenues to plummet, leaving the executives no choice but to cancel.
